Tearsheets: Venue Magazine - Summit Country Day

I was recently sent to Summit Country Day School to photograph "A Generation of Respected Leaders" and their grandchildren. The story focuses around Jeff Wyler of automotive fame and Jim and Patricia Stahl who are long time supporters of the school and owners of the Cincinnati Belting and Transmission Co.

In both cases I used a shoot thru umbrella camera left with an SB-800, then underexposed the background by a stop and a half.

The Great American Building - A Portrait subject

The Great American Building reflects the personality of this city. On St. Patrick's day the Tiara is green, on opening day it's red. When the weather comes in it hides in the clouds or disappears completely.

Living on Mt. auburn I've photographed it many times trying to capture it's different personalities from a singular perspective. Below is my most recent, a man working on a home on Corporation Alley. It makes me feel like summer has arrived.

Included are also a few from the last year showing the building in different facets.

Tearsheets: Venue Magazine - Seraphim Ranch - Experience God's Creation

In the past few months I've been working with the new quarterly publication Venue Lifestyle and Event Guide. The first issue that I've been a part of just came out this month so I can begin to share some of the stories that I worked on with the writers.

Carl Lindner IV and his brother Christopher started Seraphim Ranch a high end hunting lodge. "The goal of the Ranch is to bring together faith driven men and families to build lasting relationships while experiencing the awe and beauty of God's creation."
Pg. 2 Carl H. Lindner IV portrait and men shooting shotguns(right) by me. Others by Josh Beeman.
I urge you to pick up a copy of the magazine. It's a great publication with a staff that works incredibly hard to get every issue out. I'll be posting more of the stories I worked on in the near future.

Thanks for looking.
